- Facial Toner – $37
This honestly might be one of my favorite beauty products of all time. I don’t use it in a traditional, post-cleansing way, but as a refreshing spritz throughout the day. It has Anthyllis Extract which helps balance and calm your skin and witch hazel to keep pores clean and tight. I love setting my makeup with it or spraying my bare face before makeup application to give my skin a healthy glow. AND THE SMELL, YOU GUYS. This toner has a crisp, warm and piney scent. Think of the best spa you’ve ever been to, then multiply that by 100. I try to limit my uses each day because I could easily go through a bottle of this a week. Cop it here.
- Rose Day Cream Light – $45
Another extremely delicious smelling product in this line. The ingredient lineup is full of A-listers like rose water, rose wax, marshmallow extract and almond oil, so you can imagine how heavenly this smells and feels on your skin. Since I’m really oily and blemish-prone I prefer the light version of this cream, which is like the fat free version of the Rose Day Cream (AKA JLo’s coveted daytime moisturizer!) Aside from moisturizing and soothing skin, this is an awesome base for makeup. It’s light enough that it doesn’t feel thick on the skin, but the oils mix with makeup to grab hold and create an effortless, natural and dewy look. A+.
- Night Serum – $60
One thing I love about discovering new brands is learning the philosophy and beliefs behind their products. Dr. Hauschka’s brand promotes oil-free nighttime care, believing that our skin produces enough natural oil to heal and renew overnight. By eliminating all oils in your night regime, we can allow our skin to rediscover its natural balance. Since I have extremely oily skin, I was down to give this new approach a shot. This serum sold me on this process after night 1. After cleansing and toning, I rubbed this over my whole face and neck. It absorbed quickly and left a hydrated tightness to my skin. After using this consistently for about a week, my skin wasn’t dry at all and my daytime oil was kept at bay. Definitely a keeper in my book!
I don’t mean to be a broken record, but the smell just keeps on with these products! Now let me clarify- they smell amazingly clean and fragrant because of the natural ingredients they are made with, not any artificial perfumes. This bronzer has a light, almost spa-ish scent that smells like witch hazel and sage. What I love is how mild and blendable the color is. It probably wouldn’t be an ideal product for a sculpted contour but it’s perfect for giving a healthy sun-kissed glow. I like to apply this powder on areas where the sun would naturally hit: bridge of nose, outer cheekbones, bottom of chin and above my brow bone. This bronzer never looks cakey, even after applying throughout the day. Definitely a staple in my “no-makeup makeup” looks.
- Volume Mascara (03 Plum) – $28
To be honest, I’ve never been someone who gets “wowed” by mascaras. I’ve been a ride or die for my Maybelline Colossal for over a decade so it takes a special candidate to swoop in and replace my drugstore constant. Don’t fix it if it ain’t broke, right? Well, my ways are changing and I’ve recently accepted a new mascara into my makeup bag. I love how lush and thick this mascara makes my lashes look after one swipe. It lengthens, volumizes and…wait for it…smells amazing! I use the plum color which is perfect for everyday and adds a little pep in your weekday step knowing you’re getting a little wild with your lash tint. It’s the little things. I’ve done the 2-coat daytime look and the nighttime-smokey so the versatility is there, which oddly I feel like a handful of mascaras don’t have. Most importantly, when the removal processes comes around, this stuff melts off really easily with a simple soap or oil. No scrubbing necessary!
I hope you guys love learning about new products and enjoy my favorites!
